Dr. Carpio will work closely with your primary dentist and/or prosthodontist to keep them up to date with your treatment, and will provide them with prompt and accurate communication as well as any recommendations to maintain the level of quality and excellence you deserve. Dr. Carpio and her Staff will also work together with you and your primary dentist towards achieving healthy gums, maintaining your periodontal disease under control, improving your smile with cosmetic periodontal surgery, and/or, restoring your missing teeth with dental implants.
Beside the customary periodontal diagnosis and care, dental implants, and regenerative approaches to bone deficit sites, The Periodontal-Implant Institute offers every patient an assessment of oral risk factors that may potentially affect the overall health status. In this regard, several risk factors can affect the periodontium, and the presence of oral/periodontal infections can in turn affect certain medical conditions such as coronary heart disease, respiratory disease, pregnancy outcomes, osteoporosis, diabetes and stroke.
