Meet Dr. Waleed Alkakhan

Dr. Waleed grew up in Vienna, Virginia. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Tech, followed by a Master’s in Biomedicine. He went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) and then pursued advanced clinical training by completing a General Practice Residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Dr. Waleed then did his specialty training in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) while earning a second Master’s of Science degree.

What truly sets Dr. Waleed apart is his thoughtful and compassionate approach to treating patients. He believes in taking the time to listen, educating patients about their conditions and treatment options, and tailoring care to each individual’s needs and goals. His dedication to precision, innovation, and minimally invasive techniques aligns seamlessly with the high standards of care you have come to expect from our practice.

Outside of the office, Dr. Waleed is a passionate sports enthusiast, actively participating in local soccer and tennis leagues. He enjoys traveling, exploring new restaurants, and live music events with his wife and son.
